Before you leave, can you give some specific examples? I would love to take up the cause of preventing hateful sentiments to models, or anyone else at this place.

I think part of the problem is that dA has grown to big and impersonal to care about the problem. I agree with you on the problem, although in my opinion no hateful comments should be allowed no matter where they are aimed. However, the problem with how women are treated and criticism is aimed at them is all too universal and should be discouraged at any point.

On that note, there are many of us who are not like that and would still like to see your work. Is there an alternate way to do so?

DA has gotten too big for it's lazy volunteer admin to handle....
i had a copyright issue, two people on here stole an image of mine and posted it as their own..... i reported it....
waited two weeks..... reported it again and noted an admin, who was rude and ignored me.... i CALLED angelo.... he basically told me to go fuck myself...
then i called the hosting company that hosts DA's servers.... the ignorant tech there told me he'd contact DA... when i informed him that i was serving HIS COMPANY with a DMCA notice... he had no clue what was going on..... so i called the host's home office in (i think it was NYC, i forget) and asked for the legal dept.
told them they had 48 hours to remove my content or my lawyer was going to get a phone call....
24 hours later the work was taken down.....

that was after me waiting around for a month....

so yah... that's why the stuff in my gallery is basically whatever shit i have laying around..... because the staff doesn't care about copyright law, they DO NOT protect artists, and their prints service is a fucking ripoff.
(i manage a pro lab, i know what commercial labs charge for prints and how much money DA is raping us for)

I'm actually in the process of developing a communtiy site for proffessionals, and one of things that has been much discussed in its planning its the strict monitoring of useless comments and hate speech of any kind. If it does not support the artist or the work, it gets removed. Frequent offenders would be removed from the site entirely instead of banned. The idea is proffessional conduct, that's the problem with DA it's an amatuer's site with amatuer commentary. However, it should be noted, you can always turn comments off. If people really have something to say about your work they'll note you.

I hear ya, Joi, and it's a crying shame that we're not going to be seeing your fantastic work around here. And it's a bigger shame that people like that get away with being utter dillholes. DA has gotten too big and ponderous to deal with the artists on a personal level, and it's going to hurt them in the long run.

Also ironic that DA puts a lot of effort into removing erect penis and other violation images, but won't remove violation behavior ??

I recommend staying and digging in. I'll join you -- Not knowing the context of the comments, I can't exactly respond, but when some cranium deprived sea turd comes in and says "Nice tits" or, "This makes me horny", I think about abortion and time travel and wish I had a grasp on both.

Regardless -- I recommend you stay-- I look at your images all the time, I respect women and as well will go up against any tree bark chewing redneck that doesn't.

This is unfortunate. I've only just fallen in love with your work. I realize the insult you're faced with, but I sincerely hope that you can return with the knowledge that there's something you can do about it. dA's always been slow on violation and abuse reports, and that's upsetting.

I've gotten a couple of those...I'm not sure how is it possibly acceptable to critique the models' bodies here, but I wasn't surprised - assholes are everywhere. I just immediately hid the offending comments.

I'm sorry this happened - I can certainly understand and agree with your indignation. I do hope that you don't let them stop you, because I'd have to see something beautiful fall prey to something ugly.
